* OK, so whats with the hype with this ”Miracle Broth”? Starting at £60 for 15ml it needs to be a miracle right?!!! Everyone has heard of Creme De La Mer as its a firm favorite with the celebrities, but is it really worth the very expensive price tag? All the reviews online say it is! It is literally raved about and you would find it hard to find a bad review to be honest. So whats the story behind the brand? ”When aerospace physicist Dr. Max Huber was burned in a laboratory accident, he went on a crusade to restore his skin. ”What began as one man’s journey became a transformative experience that would be whispered about all over the world. Inspired by the renewing energies of the sea, Huber fermented nutrient-rich kelp with other natural ingredients. 12 years and 6,000 experiments later, his Miracle Broth™ was born – and Huber’s skin visibly restored. Word of Dr. Huber’s perfected formula spread, captivating new devotees. Their transformative journey was just beginning.”
I have been using this cream for 2 weeks and have already seen a dramatic difference in my skin. I have scarring on my face and large pores and even after just two weeks these seem visibly less noticeable. This cream claims to have the power to transform the look of skin in a short time and I did not think after just 2 weeks I would be able to review this product. Looking at all the positive reviews online, I see this cream works incredibly well for ladies with eczema, dry skin conditions or if you suffer from breakouts as it has its healing benefits. My skin seems plumper and redness is reduced. I chose only to use it on an evening as I already have oily skin and it is very rich, I feel the soft cream may be more suited to my skin type as it contains all the same powerful ingredients but is lighter. There is a specific way to use this cream, a little goes a long way and although expensive it will last you months. You must warm the cream for a few seconds between the fingers until it becomes translucent, then press gently into the skin. This product is available to buy online HERE
*Glasshouse tomatoes. Earthy, leafy and full of sunshine. Crisp with stem-green galbanum. Lively with artemesia, fruity with cassis, resting on a cushion of moss. Tangy and evocative. That is the true Jo Malone description of this candle. I love all Jo Malone candles and particularly like this fragrance. The fragrance name may put people off but it really is a delightful smell that fills the whole house when lit. Candle burn time is 45 hours.
*Another glory Clinique product of mine. This cream chubby highlighter stick is perfect to enhance your favorite features. Its oil free so great for my oily skin. As you can see from the pictures I have applied it to my cheeks giving a gorgeous subtle sheen. Less is more with highlighters, be sure not to go OTT! This product is also great for highlighting your brow bone by sweeping your finger across the stick and applying that way. The delivery of the product is perfect, no need to sharpen, just twist and go!
*If you thought Clinique was just skincare think again. Clinique do some amazing cosmetics and this foundation is my new best friend. After using ”Estee Lauder double wear” for years, I wanted to try something different. Usually I would only wear a heavy coverage foundation on an evening but this feels so light on the skin which is surprising as the foundation covers amazingly well. It also suits my oily complexion and does not melt off or go shiny. A little goes a long way and is used as a concealer too. My only complaint would be the bottle, I hope the wand is bendy enough to scoop out any last foundation when i’m running out, however only time will tell. This foundation is available online here or Tried and Tested FB members pop into House of Fraser Intu Metro Centre get matched up and try a sample before you buy.
*Another Clinique customer favorite. We have seen the cream foundation in this range which was impressive on my oily skin so it was time to try the powder. My powder is the neutral shade and its great on its own or on top of a light cream foundation if you would like a heavier look by night. This contains no oil so is perfect for my oil slick skin. Personally I prefer the cream foundation in this range, however I know there are lots of ladies prefer a powder and this is nice. Its lightweight, lasts and does not clog pores. Great for oily skin like mine and great to carry being in a compact to blot with on a night out. This product is available online here or if you are local to Newcastle be sure to pop into House of Fraser Intu Metro Centre, to have a try, mention Tried and Tested FB and get well looked after. *This product is available on the £10 off when you spend £50 at House of Fraser beauty event. This ends tomorrow 10/4/16 so if you want it and have a few things you need, its worth getting the tenner off! This is the Rose shimmer brick, the most popular colour. I believe this will suit most skin tones. It is light, does not clog pores and a little product goes a long way. Looks great on top of a matte bronzer (not a shimmer bronzer) to highlight the cheeks. Top tip – use as a eye shadow highlighter too! From experience the product can be a little crumbly but one thing to always remember with a shimmer is ”less is more”, no one likes the tin man look ! If you love this product too be sure to comment. Available online here or if local to Newcastle visit House of Fraser Intu Metro Centre, mention your a member of Tried and Tested FB give it a try and get well looked after.

No good if you like a heavy look but if like me you love the luminous, soft, dewy skin look then you will LOVE it..amazing colour match too as I have ridiculous yellow tones to my skin so matching can sometimes be tricky. *Love my new Guerlain Lippy shade 003!!!. There is something about a red lipstick that just makes everything OK! You can wake up, look like shit, feel like shit and have not one scrap on Makeup on but put on a red lippy and your ready to take on the world. My red lippy days are days when I am ready to literally do just this. Maybe I have that important meeting at work or maybe I just need a pick me up. This Guerlain shade is beautiful and is soft and sheer. It also tastes amazing so i have a tendency to lick it off. The girls in House of Fraser Intu Metro Centre helped me pick out this shade along with the matching nail polish. Thanks girls it was a good choice xx Lisa xx
