This British weather is really affecting my skin at the minute, glorious warm sunshine one minute and snowing the next. My limbs get dry from the elements, shaving and my obsession with fake tan!. This body butter is scrumptious in every way. It smells delicious, so much so that I’ve been quite tempted to try eat it, I resisted you will be relieved to know. It absorbs fast and is none greasy, however it does leave that amazing model sheen on the skin. My skin feels smooth and well nourished. So using this product we might not look like a Victoria’s Secret Model but we will feel like one with our soft silky smooth skin.

Aveda do a complimentary scalp and hair analysis in store where they use a little hand held device to magnify the hair follicle and scalp. By doing this they can make sure you get the right products to suit your hair type. I was unaware I had a dry scalp until I had this done. I knew my hair was damaged after over processing and it was fascinating seeing the images on the device and comparing them with the ”normal” images.
Lisa recommended I go for the damage remedy shampoo and conditioner as well as the daily hair repair. I also got the beautifying oil for my scalp, dry remedy oil for daily moisturizing of the hair and the shampure dry shampoo for all the days in between.
My hair has felt amazing and I have had lots of compliments on the condition and shine. I love how the range contains no nasty’s. The dry shampoo is great as it is not an aerosol so does not go everywhere and it smells divine. The daily oil is ideal to use as a finishing product but it doubles up as a treatment for the hair and the hair repair is also a heat resistant product. Yesterday I experienced the most amazing Decleor Hot Stone Massage courtesy of the beautiful Zoe. Decleor goes one better, and offers more of a spa feel with their treatments. Within the tranquility of the treatment room and the comfort of the bed, the whole world is instantly placed on mute. The warmth of the stones and relaxing music had me fighting sleep, so not to miss the massage. The oil smelt divine and my skin was silky soft the next day after leaving the essential oils to work while I slept that evening. The treatment was a full 60 minutes of pure bliss and just what I needed. Girls on Tried and Tested are always asking for an eyelash serum to help with damage, growth or thickness of the lashes. My lashes were damaged after wearing eyelash extensions. Now, there are lots of branded lash serums on the market and they all help to an extent, but in general nothing works quite as well as a prescription strength product does it?. After meeting Dr Land he recommended I started using a prescription strength lash serum. I am not going to lie, I am not the best at remembering to apply every evening before bed but I have been dipping in and out of using it and have seen a vast improvement. The picture I am displaying of my lashes is of the completely natural lash, no mascara and no tint. These baby’s rival daisy cow’s lashes with mascara and MUA’s always ask ”are they real”. As this is a medicine you need to follow the instructions carefully. You only need a tiny amount on the brush and you need to take care not to get it into the eye, be sure just to lightly brush along the lash. *Another glory Clinique product of mine. This cream chubby highlighter stick is perfect to enhance your favorite features. Its oil free so great for my oily skin. As you can see from the pictures I have applied it to my cheeks giving a gorgeous subtle sheen. Less is more with highlighters, be sure not to go OTT! This product is also great for highlighting your brow bone by sweeping your finger across the stick and applying that way. The delivery of the product is perfect, no need to sharpen, just twist and go!
*If you thought Clinique was just skincare think again. Clinique do some amazing cosmetics and this foundation is my new best friend. After using ”Estee Lauder double wear” for years, I wanted to try something different. Usually I would only wear a heavy coverage foundation on an evening but this feels so light on the skin which is surprising as the foundation covers amazingly well. It also suits my oily complexion and does not melt off or go shiny. A little goes a long way and is used as a concealer too. My only complaint would be the bottle, I hope the wand is bendy enough to scoop out any last foundation when i’m running out, however only time will tell. *Another Clinique customer favorite. We have seen the cream foundation in this range which was impressive on my oily skin so it was time to try the powder. My powder is the neutral shade and its great on its own or on top of a light cream foundation if you would like a heavier look by night. This contains no oil so is perfect for my oil slick skin. Personally I prefer the cream foundation in this range, however I know there are lots of ladies prefer a powder and this is nice. Its lightweight, lasts and does not clog pores. Great for oily skin like mine and great to carry being in a compact to blot with on a night out. Top tip – use as a eye shadow highlighter too! From experience the product can be a little crumbly but one thing to always remember with a shimmer is ”less is more”, no one likes the tin man look !
